Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

According to this fire safety regulation, if your company employs more than 5 people it is legally required to carry out a fire risk assessment, which must be reviewed every 12 months by a competent Fire Risk Assessor.

A record of the assessment containing significant findings and risks must be kept and a Responsible Person (owner, landlord, employer, etc.) must be identified.

This order holds the person in control responsible for protecting employees and the relevant personnel against death and injury should a fire occur.
